In an effort to enhance environmental education and empower future leaders in sustainability, the Department of Environment (DOE), in collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), is hosting an educational workshop focused on environmental protection. This initiative, taking place in Mazandaran province, aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to tackle environmental challenges effectively.

The workshop is designed to help students develop a strong foundation in environmental protection through practical learning experiences. Participants will gain insights into:

This hands-on approach not only emphasizes theoretical knowledge but also fosters real-world applications. The curriculum is part of a broader effort by the Technical and Vocational Training Organization, which aims to prepare specialized personnel dedicated to environmental conservation.

Currently, environmental studies are offered in several provinces, including Mazandaran, Fars, Khuzestan, and Ardabil, highlighting the widespread commitment to sustainability education across the region.

UNESCO’s Role in Environmental Education
