He described the situation in Gaza as a “victory” for Palestinians, despite the extensive destruction caused by Israel’s military actions. “Despite all the killings and destruction the whole world witnessed, the Palestinian people held their ground and upheld their values and principles. I believe this stands as a victory,” he remarked.
Araghchi further noted, “The Israeli occupation forces did all in their power to eliminate Hamas and free their captives, but they were forced at the end of the day to sit and negotiate with Hamas. This represents victory for Hamas.”
According to reports, Israel’s military campaign in Gaza has tragically resulted in the deaths of at least 47,460 Palestinians, with a significant number being women and children, in addition to 111,580 injured since the onset of hostilities on October 7, 2023.
