Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Jassim Al Thani, in Doha to discuss enhancing bilateral relations. Their talks addressed regional developments, including the Palestinian situation post-ceasefire, the political landscape in Lebanon following elections, ongoing ceasefire violations by Israel, and the importance of Syria’s sovereignty and stability. Araghchi emphasized Iran’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Qatar. The agenda also included meetings with senior Hamas officials to discuss Palestinian developments and congratulate the Palestinian people on their historic 16-month resistance known as the Al-Aqsa Storm.

Olarbek Sharshiev, director of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s (SCO) Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure, announced the “Sahand–Counterterrorism–2025” drill set for December 4 near Tabriz, Iran. This exercise aims to improve the operational readiness of participating nations against complex terrorist threats and marks the second joint counterterrorism drill since the SCO’s inception in 1996.
