Burkina Faso’s Ambassador to Tehran, Mohammadi Kaboureh, highlighted the importance of strengthening scientific cooperation with Iran for Burkina Faso’s sustainable development during a meeting in Tehran. Kaboureh emphasized the need for Iran’s expertise in education and expressed hope for more scholarships for Burkinabe students. Saeed Habiba, head of the Organization of Student Affairs, echoed this sentiment, noting Burkina Faso’s friendly ties with Iran. With plans to attract 3,200 foreign students by 2027, Iran seeks to increase international student enrollment, currently at 35,000. The initiative emphasizes the significance of Persian language education to enhance academic collaboration and cultural exchange.
Iran’s robotics and earth science teams achieved remarkable success at international competitions, notably the FIRA 2025 World Robotics and AI Competition in South Korea, where they won 11 awards, including five championships. The Iranian team also excelled at the International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) in China, earning four bronze medals.
