Tehran is actively enhancing economic cooperation with Tajikistan, as highlighted by Vice President Mohammad-Reza Aref during a joint press conference with Tajikistan’s Prime Minister, Qohir Rasulzoda. Key areas for collaboration include activating private sectors, a recent visa waiver agreement, and prioritizing tourism development. Rasulzoda emphasized sectors such as technical engineering, pharmaceuticals, technology, agriculture, energy, and transportation, proposing a long-term commercial program by 2030. Additionally, Aref met with Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov, discussing the need for a comprehensive strategic plan and increased trade to strengthen relations between Iran and its neighbors.
