Li arrived in Jakarta on Saturday for an official visit at the invitation of President Subianto. On Monday, he is scheduled to depart for Malaysia to participate in the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) – GCC (Persian Gulf Cooperation Council) – China Summit in Kuala Lumpur, an event hosted by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. This high-level gathering, which will take place from May 26-28, further illustrates China’s active role in promoting regional and global cooperation.
