Foreign Minister Araqchi Lauds Predecessor Amirabdollahian for Diplomatic Achievements

In a recent tribute, Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi lauded his predecessor, Hossein Amirabdollahian, for his exceptional skills in diplomacy and commitment to moral values. This recognition comes during a ceremony dedicated to the Martyrs of Service, honoring those who tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan Province, Iran, on May 19, 2025.

During the ceremony, Araqchi expressed deep appreciation for Amirabdollahian, stating:

“Amirabdollahian was one of the most skilled diplomats in the region, highlighting his sincere dedication and success during his tenure in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”

Araqchi emphasized that the foreign policy principles established under President Ebrahim Raisi’s administration were significantly influenced by Amirabdollahian’s insights. He stated:

“The principles of foreign policy established under the Raisi administration were largely based on Amirabdollahian’s insights.”

In addition, Araqchi referenced comments made by President Masoud Pezeshkian at the Tehran Dialogue Forum, where improvements in Iran’s relations with neighboring states were highlighted. Key points from Araqchi’s speech include:
