President Pezeshkian Calls on Muslims to Stand Against Oppression and Injustice

In a recent address, President Masoud Pezeshkian voiced strong criticism against those who remain silent regarding the crimes perpetrated by the Israeli regime against the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip. He emphasized the responsibility of Muslim nations to unite against oppression and advocate for the defenseless.

Pezeshkian condemned the indiscriminate killings of Palestinian women and children by Israel. He urged Muslims to stand up against these inhumane acts that affect not only the Islamic world but also other societies. He stated, “If people remain silent in the face of oppression, they must question their commitment to Islam and humanity.”

His remarks were made during an international conference focused on enhancing resistance diplomacy and commemorating the Martyrs of Service. This event honored late President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions who tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash in East Azerbaijan Province, Iran, on May 19, 2024.

Pezeshkian described Raisi as a dedicated official and highlighted the commitment of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and other authorities to serve the Iranian nation and uphold justice globally. He stated:

  • Governance based on rights and justice is a fundamental principle in religious teachings.
  • Iranian officials strive to follow this path both domestically and in the region.

In response to recent allegations made by U.S. President Donald Trump against Iranian officials, Pezeshkian dismissed these claims, asserting that Iran’s authorities lead a simple life, focused on their service to the nation.
