Chinese President Expresses Sympathy to Iran Following Tragic Port Explosion

In a recent incident at Shaheed Rajaee Port, a significant economic hub in southern Iran, a tragic explosion has resulted in a devastating loss of life and injuries. The global response to this unfortunate event includes messages of sympathy from international leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping.

On Tuesday, President Xi Jinping reached out to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, expressing his condolences regarding the deadly explosion. In his message, he conveyed his shock over the high death toll and the extensive damage caused by the incident. The Chinese leader offered his heartfelt sympathies on behalf of the Chinese government and people to the families of the victims, the injured, and residents in the affected areas.

Additionally, a day prior, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun also issued a condolence message to Iran, underscoring the solidarity between the two nations during this difficult time.

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani also expressed his sorrow over the tragedy. He called President Pezeshkian on Tuesday to convey his deep regret regarding the explosion, which resulted in hundreds of casualties and significant destruction. Al Sudani extended his condolences to:
