In a show of solidarity and respect, several ambassadors, diplomats, and representatives from various foreign nations visited the Iranian Embassy in London to honor the victims of the tragic fire at Shahid Rajaee Port in southern Iran. The Iranian Ambassador to Britain, Ali Mousavi, welcomed the foreign representatives and graciously received their messages of condolence and sympathy directed towards the Iranian government and its people. According to a statement from the embassy, the memorial office will remain open for two days, specifically on April 29 and 30, to commemorate the victims of this tragic incident.

Prior to the visits, the embassy shared a poignant message on X, extending condolences to the bereaved families. The message read: “We offer our condolences to the noble Iranian nation for this heartbreaking incident in Bandar Shahid Rajaee and pray to God Almighty to have mercy on the deceased and grant a speedy recovery to the injured.”

Additionally, the embassy reported that its flag had been lowered to half-mast in remembrance of the victims.

The unfortunate event unfolded on April 26, when a powerful explosion rocked Shahid Rajaee Port, leading to a massive fire that took two days to extinguish. As of Monday, officials in Hormozgan Province, where the port is situated, confirmed that the fire had been fully contained, but the death toll from the explosion and the ensuing inferno had tragically risen to 70.
