In a recent initiative to promote ecotourism in Iran, the consul-generals of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Afghanistan explored key historical sites in Chenaran county, Khorasan Razavi province, including the renowned Radkan Historical Tower. This visit underscores the potential of Chenaran as a burgeoning hub for tourism, enriched by its rich history and stunning landscapes.

According to Mohammad Taherian-Muqaddam, the head of Chenaran Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Department, the Radkan Tower is among the most unique historical sites in Iran. He emphasized that the visit by the consul-generals plays a vital role in enhancing tourism ties and attracting foreign visitors to the region.

  • Accommodation Capacity: Chenaran boasts 12 accommodation sites, capable of hosting over 500 guests.

Taherian-Muqaddam reported a notable rise in inbound tourism during the past Iranian year, highlighting the growing interest in the region. He stated, “Most foreign tourists choose two routes, Akhlamd and Radkan, for their visits.”
