Iran’s Stance on Nuclear Issues: VP Confirms No Consultations or Orders Accepted

During the recent inauguration of the new head of Iran’s Iranology Foundation in Tehran, key insights were shared about the essence of Iranian culture and its role in the global context. The remarks by Aref highlighted the importance of knowledge acquisition and the integration of advanced technologies into Iranian civilization.

Aref emphasized the necessity of leveraging modern technologies, stating, “We must make maximum use of advanced technologies and make these technologies, along with Iranian civilization, available to others.” This statement underscores the commitment to share Iran’s advancements for the betterment of humanity.

In discussing nuclear technology, Aref asserted, “We must use nuclear technology, like other technologies, to elevate humanity and solve society’s problems.” He further elaborated that Iran operates independently, “In this regard, we do not consult or take orders, and at the same time, we make it available to everyone.”

Aref addressed the ongoing Iranophobia campaign propagated by Western nations, emphasizing that Iranian civilization and culture are essential to humanity. He stated, “Iranian civilization and culture are the saviors of humanity, having been able to absorb Islamic culture so that today, we do not see this Iranian and Islamic culture separately, and Iran means Islamic Iran.”

He drew a stark comparison between the outcomes of Western and Iranian civilizations. Aref remarked, “The result of Western civilization is the tragedies in Gaza, but the result of Iranian civilization is the pride and honor that wherever we travel in the world, we are proud of being Iranian.” He further noted, “And this current Iranophobia has been created by those who claim to be civilized.”

In terms of foreign policy, Aref outlined that the primary objective for Iran is to establish and expand relations with regional countries, as well as with Eurasian nations and regional organizations. He noted, “Sometimes these countries are influenced by imposed culture and political affiliations, where it is also felt in our political negotiations so much so that even a friendly Islamic country asks us if we are seeking nuclear weapons.”

Aref referred to the concept of Iranophobia as a significant injustice to human civilization. He reiterated, “Iranian civilization and culture are the saviors of humanity, which was able to absorb Islamic culture, and today we do not see this Iranian and Islamic culture separately, and the word Iran means Islamic Iran.”

Highlighting the importance of diplomacy, Aref reaffirmed, “Establishing and expanding relations with Eurasian countries, the region, and regional organizations is the first priority of Iran’s foreign policy.”

He also condemned the actions taken by those who claim to be civilized, stating, “This is while the claimants of civilization in the West are behind the killing of innocent people and horrific crimes.” Aref further stated, “In Iranian-Islamic culture, we believe that if one human life is lost unjustly, it means that we have destroyed all humans.”

In a thought-provoking question, Aref inquired, “Can this culture and civilization pursue nuclear weapons?” He called upon Western nations to recognize Iran’s commitment to peaceful policies, emphasizing the significance of Iran’s top policy documents. He noted, “Western countries should pay attention to Iran’s top policy documents, which contain not only the approval of the country’s ruler but also a religious decree (fatwa).”

He concluded with a strong affirmation of Iran’s stance on nuclear technology: “We follow the fatwa, and if this fatwa prohibits the production of nuclear weapons and [endorses] the peaceful use of nuclear technology, all branches of the country will implement it.”

In summary, Aref’s remarks reflect a deep commitment to sharing Iranian culture and technology for the betterment of humanity while addressing misconceptions about Iran’s intentions on the global stage. The emphasis on diplomacy, knowledge acquisition, and peaceful technological advancements highlights Iran’s aspirations for cooperation and mutual respect in foreign relations.

Through these discussions, it becomes evident that Iranian culture holds a significant place in the narrative of global civilization, aiming to contribute positively while countering unjust perceptions.
